Enabling the OpenEdge service resource editor

If you installed OpenEdge on a machine other than the machine that hosts Sonic ESB, complete this procedure to enable Sonic ESB to access the OpenEdge resource editor for viewing and modifying the properties of the OpenEdge service definition.

To enable the resource editor:
  1. Edit the resourceEditors.properties file in the SonicESB-Install-Directory/explorer/ext directory.

  2. The file contains a comma-separated list of values for the property resourceEditorNames. Add ‘, WSMEditor’ to the end of the list of values.

  3. Add the following three property-value pairs to the end of the file:

    4. WSMEditor.displayName=OpenEdge Service Definition Editor 
WSMEditor.editorClass=com.progress.esb.tools.OEServiceDefResourceEditor 
WSMEditor.fileExtensions=wsm

  4. Save the file.
